Moot Court
Moot Court – A Platform for Future Legal Professionals
At Jana College, Department of Law, we take pride in offering a dynamic Moot Court Program that serves as a training ground for aspiring legal professionals. Moot Court is an integral part of our curriculum, designed to provide students with hands-on experience in legal research, drafting, and courtroom advocacy.
Why Moot Court?
The Moot Court Program enhances students’ analytical, research, and advocacy skills by simulating real court proceedings. Participants engage in drafting persuasive legal arguments, preparing case briefs, and presenting oral submissions before a panel of judges, just as they would in an actual courtroom.
State-of-the-Art Moot Court Hall
To ensure a realistic and immersive experience, we have a fully equipped Moot Court Hall, designed to replicate a real courtroom setting. Here, students participate in internal Moot Court Sessions, honing their legal acumen before competing at prestigious State and National-level Moot Court Competitions organized by leading law schools and institutions.
Compulsory Participation & Competitive Edge
For 3rd-year law students, participation in internal Moot Court Sessions is mandatory. These sessions serve as a stepping stone, preparing students for high-level competitions and fostering confidence, critical thinking, and the ability to articulate arguments effectively.
